In 2009, the doctor is finally in.
Doctor Horrible stars Billy, the troubled villain trying to impress both the Evil League of Evil, and his love Penny. He is thwarted every step of the way by Captain Hammer, who, despite being a superhero, is a bit of a douchebag.
The musical turns on its head the idea of good and evil, and questions whether a supervillain is necessarily an evil person, or whether a superhero is always a good guy. It is a light comedy, with elements of tragedy, and -in the Whedon style- is incredibly emotive.
Doctor Horrible is an adaptation for the stage of Doctor Horrible: Sing-along Blog - a work of genius created by Joss Whedon (Buffy, Angel, Firefly) and his family during the writers' strike of 2008.
The stage adaptation is written by Joss Whedon et al, directed by Shannon Kelly, and produced by Chris Marchand.
It runs June 3rd - 6th, 2009 and has limited seating, so book now if you want to watch! :D

See you at the aftermath. Peace, but... not literally.
